My journey in the Moot Court Society began unexpectedly. It wasn't a burning passion for law or a deep desire to argue that led me here, but rather a chance encounter with an elocution competition. That competition, with its focus on clear articulation and persuasive delivery, ignited a spark within me. I discovered a newfound confidence in public speaking and a thrill in presenting compelling arguments. Driven by this newfound passion, I decided to explore the world of moot court. The initial experience was daunting. The legal jargon, the intricate research, the pressure of presenting before a panel of judges – it all seemed overwhelming. But with each moot competition, each challenge overcome, and each constructive critique from my peers, I began to find my footing.

A NEW CHAPTER: RESILIENCE

The Trial Advocacy Competition was a turning point. The intensity of the competition, the rigorous training, and the invaluable feedback from experienced mentors pushed me to my limits. The society provided a safe and supportive environment for me to grow. It prompted me to be a better researcher. Beyond competitions, I found immense satisfaction in volunteering for the intra-moot court competitions and 1st Mount Zion inter moot court competition 2024. Guiding younger members, sharing my experiences, and witnessing their growth was incredibly fulfilling. Now, as the elected Treasurer of the society, I am eager to contribute to its continued success. I am particularly looking forward to the 2nd National Inter-Moot Court Competition, where I will be working closely with the team to ensure smooth operations and provide necessary support.

I am fortunate to have our Heera ma’am and Reshmi ma’am and always grateful for their invaluable guidance and encouragement. Their insights, feedback, and unwavering belief in us were instrumental in our success. They not only honed our legal skills but also instilled in us the importance of confidence, perseverance, and professionalism.

CONCLUSION

My journey in the Moot Court Society has been a transformative one. It has not only polished my legal and communication skills but also instilled in me valuable life lessons such as teamwork, resilience, and the importance of continuous learning. I am grateful for the opportunities I have received and the support I have received from my fellow members and mentors.
